Preparing to Begin Next Phase

With the passing of yesterday's inspection, we received the green light to finalize layer one of our "suite dividing" wall. The crew got down to business and knocked out the first layer of drywall with the quickness!

Additional specialty material arrived right on time! This will allow us to continue construction tomorrow with no interruptions. There's nothing like proper preparation and scheduling! 

Passed First Inspection Today!

Today was a big day. Fortunately everything went well for us and we passed our first framing inspection!

The downside was that the construction crew didn't show up, and I ended up doing all the work today. See pictures below:

It started off mellow, nice & easy.....

Then I had to get down to the nitty gritty with the power tools......

Then, I had to take some precise measurements....

...I was fatiguing by this point......

Then I got really tired.......

Just kidding, the crew did show up! I did look kinda cool on those action shots though. LOL!

Here are the pictures of the real progress. We had some more partitioning walls go up in Studio "B" and Studio "C". The crew also stuffed the "suite dividing" wall with insulation, and most importantly, we passed our first inspection!

Today was a good day! We seen the footprints of Studio "C" and it's vocal booth take shape. The exterior walls of Studio "B" were also finalized.

Insulation was also stuffed into the "suite dividing" wall.

Walls Up For Studio "B", Radio Production Room & BeatBox Pros Showroom!

The fellas must of had their Wheaties today! They came in and mashed! We're blessed to have a crew with real chemistry. I've never seen walls framed so fast!

The framers framed the walls on the ground and set them aside. They will be erected and anchored to the ground at a later date. We're waiting on some specialty materials that Dave Hampton ordered, that will be used under framing and studio rooms. I didn't take a count of the walls framed today, but you'll get the idea once you see the pictures below.

More Framing!

Today, the crew came in for some more framing, and started erecting frames. The frames for walls on the street side of the building and the "suite dividing" wall went up.

Construction Begins!

We've been waiting months for this day, and it's finally here!

Dave Hampton and Jim Parga of Parga Constuction met up at the Sherman Oaks site early in the AM to discuss, construction approach and execution.

The boys went to work right away and started banging out the base framing. They weren't playing around either!
